The Safe Families model originated in Chicago in 2003, being introduced to the U.K. in 2013. Since then it has become established in Manchester, The Midlands, The South Coast, Scotland and Wales.
Safe Families for Children (Safe Families) offers help and support to families in crisis, the effects of which can be devastating. Striving to stabilise families before they reach a breaking point. Faced with this situation, many of us would turn to relatives and friends for support but some families are isolated with nobody there to help them. Safe Families for Children (Safe Families) strives through its volunteers to offer this help and support.
Becoming a volunteer with Safe Families for Children (Safe Families) offers an opportunity to make a difference to the long-term outcomes for children and families in our community.
